By Savitri Devi. French-born writer Maximiani Portas, using the Hindu name Savitri Devi, became one of Europe’s most famous post-war National Socialist philosophers. She was also a pioneering animal-rights activist and a proponent of a synthesis of Hinduism and National Socialism. She went to Germany in 1949 to engage in the distribution of National Socialist propaganda, but was arrested and imprisoned. This book is her memoir of the arrest, trial and subsequent imprisonment in Germany. It is the companion volume to her other work, “Gold in the Furnace,” as it takes place at the same time and tells the story of its creation. P/B, 416pp.
